Your team is overloaded

Good recruiters reduced to firefighting: that costs you hires, candidates and eventually your people themselves. The cause is almost never laziness or incompetence, but a machine too small for the demand.

The SocialFind team at work

Why is my recruitment team overloaded?

Usually because the number of vacancies and tasks grew faster than the team, and because recruiters do work that is not recruiter work: building campaigns, creating content, keeping up administration. The options are prioritizing, growing the machine or placing tasks with a partner who works alongside your team.

How RPO works alongside your own team

Likely causes

  • More vacancies than capacity: the number of open roles grew, the team did not grow with it.
  • Recruiters do everything themselves: from campaigns and copy to scheduling and administration. Specialist work crowds out the real recruiter work: conversations and relationships.
  • Everything is a priority: without a clear order, the loudest hiring manager gets priority, not the most important vacancy.
  • Peaks without a buffer: a new location or a wave of departures doubles demand, while capacity stays fixed.
  • A slow internal process: hiring managers who give late feedback make every vacancy more labor-intensive than it needs to be.

How to diagnose it yourself

  • Count the open vacancies per recruiter and compare that with last year's caseload per person. If the caseload is growing structurally, this is not a peak but a pattern.
  • Ask your recruiters where their week goes. If most of it goes to non-recruiter work, adding capacity is not the first solution: taking tasks away is.
  • Look at follow-up speed toward candidates. As soon as that slips, the candidate pays the price for your workload, and so do you.

Solution paths

You can prioritize (fewer vacancies at once, a sharper order), add capacity (an extra recruiter or an interim recruiter) or place structural work with a partner. Each option has its own price: prioritizing costs time on everything else, an extra recruiter does not solve the specialist work, and a partner requires clear agreements on who does what.

Important to know: external reinforcement does not have to replace your team. SocialFind does not automatically replace your recruiters. We give them a far more powerful recruitment machine. Your team keeps the organizational knowledge, the hiring managers and the selection; we bring campaigns, content, sourcing and follow-up capacity. Read how that division of roles works at RPO alongside your internal team.

Who does what when we join?

  • Contact with hiring managers
  • The final selection and hiring decision
  • Internal processes and stakeholders

We take on

  • Campaigns, content and visibility

NOT A THREAT, BUT REINFORCEMENT

Already ten recruiters on staff? We can still add a lot.

Larger teams in particular gain from specialist reinforcement: campaign power, sourcing technology and extra hands for the peak.
